Or, Put Your Feet Up & Watch The Action Unfold
If you don't want to coach, or you want to take the night off, you can just take in the action. When playing a schedule you can quickly decide which games you want played automatically (in just a few seconds) and which games you want to coach or watch. Want to play the Lakers through their season? You can do it with just a couple of mouse clicks. All of the games not involving the Lakers will be played automatically and all their statistics and records will be maintained automatically. Then, when a Lakers game comes up you can take charge. You must be thinking that a game this detailed much be very complicated and difficult to learn. It isn't.

Every Season - Every Team
We have every season, from 1946-47 to the present, including all ABA seasons. The most recently completed season is included with the complete game.
Each season includes the actual schedule, all players and the actual transactions, which can be executed on the same dates as in real-life. Speciality Season Packages are available, including The All-Time Top 40 & Bottom 40 Teams, Olympic Teams & All-Time Franchise Greatest Hits.
All seasons are shipped with the rules that were in effect for that season, but you can change any of them, if you wish.

AutoSchedule
Every Cactus League Professional Basketball Season is shipped with the season's actual schedule and transactions, organized graphically and displayed chronologically. If you want to replay the season using these features, just select which team (or teams), if any, whose games you want to play manually, then start your season. All games will be played automatically - except games involving the teams you want to play manually (the game's stats, records, etc. etc. will all be maintained automatically), so you can see them in the Statistics Module. When a manual game comes up in the schedule you will be able to control every aspect of the game, if you wish. Or, you can create your own league with your own rosters and, with AutoSchedule Creator, you can create your own schedule. You are limited only by your imagination.
If you have ever run ANY Windows program, you will have almost no learning curve with Cactus League Professional Basketball. You can be playing your first game within seconds of installing it.

Game Play & Coaching
You set your team's starting lineup, make substitutions, keep your players fresh for the stretch run, decide defensive strategies & matchups, double-team, decide how you want to run your offense and lots more. Or, not. It's your call. You can have as little or as much coaching control as you want. You decide what you want to handle during the game and your AutoCoach will handle the rest. That same fine-tuned over 30 years AutoCoach will be running the other team so you better be prepared. Don't feel like coaching today? Then, don't. You can watch your team perform under the AutoCoach's direction. With the unbelievably detailed play-by-play text describing the game, you will be thoroughly entertained no matter how you want to play the game. |
Statistics
All game statistics, box scores, play-by-play reports and scorecards are maintained and saved automatically. You can view them at any time during a game or after the game in the Statistics Module. Everything is organized, intuitive and easy to access and understand. The reports that are included in the game are complete and detailed, but you can change their design or create your own! Include the stats you want in the order you want. Plus, you can sort these rports by any statistic, in ascending or descending order. The Best Thing about all of this? You don't have to worry about it. Cactus League Professional Basketball compiles these stats automatically and keeps them organized so you can analyze them whenever you want.

There are hundreds of them - all maintained automatically. It's that simple.
League Management
See and maintain your leagues, teams and rosters. You can quickly display each player's ratings and statistics. Create your own leagues, populate them with players. You can even set up a draft league with AutoDraft. Like every other part of Cactus League Professional Basketball, the fun is in the exploring (right-clicking will open up a whole world of detail in League Management and everywhere else in Cactus League Professional Basketball) and seeing what is included. Lots of information. Lots of detail. And, it is all at your fingertips.
Free Game Updates
The game updates are free, throughout the life of the version. You can download and install the Free Updates directly from the game and there is an option to check for them automatically. You can also come here and click the 'Download' menu item. You'll find all of your downloads in one location.
Time Outs - Well, They Are Just More Fun
We all love going to the hoop! But, sometimes... well, we need a little break. Now you can have some "non-basketball" entertainment during your timeouts and between quarters. Play a game and you'll see what we mean. And, if for any reason, you don't want this kind of "break in the action," you can turn it off in options.
